Recognizing Your Child Care Provider

• Surprise your caregiver with a raise or a bonus of $20, $50 or $100-whatever you can afford.
• Pay for your child care provider to attend a special training session or conference.
• Write a letter of appreciation or help your child make a card.
• Send flowers or a special gift.
• Donate toys, supplies or equipment.
• Order lunch for your provider-along with kids' meals, of course.
• Volunteer to help out once a week.
• Buy a small ad in the newspaper or dedicate a song on the radio.
• Get together with the other parents and plan a surprise.
• Buy a gift certificate for books, music, a hair cut, or foot massage.
• Organize an outdoor clean up day.
• Ask your employer to provide scholarships for toys, equipment, or training.
